소개

라오스식 킥복싱인 무에라오는 6세기 군사훈련 수단으로써 시작되었으며, 1974년, 라오인문공화국 수립을 계기로 국가 스포츠로 자리매김하였으며 경기 전에는 톰톰이라는 북에 맞추어 무에라오 전통에 경의를 표하는 의식무용을 춘다.
