New President of WoMAU


The World Martial Arts Union has an important notice about its new President in the name of Mr. Chung Wha-Tae, Ambassador(Ret.), aged 65 years old. Upon the recommendation by the Board of Directors of WoMAU, the Mayor of Chungju city formally confirmed him as its President as of 1 January 2015.

 

New President Mr. Chung, who's hometown is Chungju has a diplomatic career lasting for more than 35 years with his last foreign posts as the Korean Ambassador to Laos and the Korean Consul General in Osaka, Japan before retiring from the Korean diplomatic service in 2009. With his assumption, the position of President vacant with the resignation of Mr. Byung Yong SOH, another career diplomat, since last February 2014 has been finally filled up. It is expected that with the new helm, WoMAU will be over more invigorated with his vigor and enthusiasm in its multi-task of promoting the world martial arts in and out of the country by way of pushing the project of opening International Martial Arts Centre in Chungju, Korea and strengthening international cooperation respectively.
